I have run clean out of ideas for ‘posts for peace’- which is why i don’t do them anymore. Call me jaded, it isn’t that i don’t want peace- i just don’t have hope for it. Generation after generation of people have started wars and have tried to end them. I guess it’s arrogant to think we are any different. Having said that- i don’t think we should stop pushing for peace. I hate the term ‘fighting for peace’ – it seems a bit of an oxymoron. Wouldn’t want to get it confused like our moron-in-chief.
So, the flavor of the month has been the ‘petraeus report’ and how swimmingly everything is going in iraq- unless of course you count all of the iraqi folks dying and stuff still being blown up, and iraqi folks fleeing their homeland for safety- all because of our greedy lust for not oil. The iraqi folks want us to leave. Most americans want us to leave. Guess i am wondering why the idiots in power don’t want us to leave but want us to now go into iran. Perhaps they just haven’t drained enough tax payer money from our wallets into halliburton’s and other “contractors’” pockets.
My opinion is- we need to get more folks involved- we need to continue to pressure congress and actively boycott consuming. We need to actually CHANGE our lifestyles- not just talk about it. Make no mistake, tough times are coming. Not as tough as the iraqis and afghanis have by a long stretch- but tough for us- the pampered set in america.

Your right, the garden is going in this next month, we are going into a scary time for all Americans..not as bad as some have had it, but for those of us to whom hardship is a word for history, it’s going to be a wake up call.
it does seem pretty hopeless at times. i find myself wondering if people even have enough intelligence left to understand what’s going on. i fear our collective mind has been diminished by what passes for popular culture these days. our news programs have been coopted by breathless rundowns of britney’s belly and OJ’s arrest. peace is not good for business. it’s not good for anything but saving some people who really don’t matter in this stratified society anyway. goddess help us all.
It is going to get much, much worse. We will become the new Nazi Germany when Blackwater {Der Fuhrer’s} Private Army starts shooting American Citizens who protest Martial Law {which is coming whether or not you believe it} too our shores.
The Halliburton Concentration Camps will open and as they fill the Gas Chambers will then be openned and used to make room for more disrupter’s such as us. Then the Crematorium fires will be lit to remove the dead bodies rather than bury them.
I don’t really care if anyone believes me or not. I am either very crazy or very intuitive in my thoughts and beliefs. Only time will tell if I am right.
If I’m wrong than I will say so, however if I’m right we are all in for some real rude awakenings. Just the like world was when Hitler started his quest for world domination.
Be ready to try to flee the country, but remember if your on the no fly, train or boat list you will not be allowed to leave. So be prepared to make other plans to escape as you won’t have much time when all Hell breaks loose.
